100,000 tons/year granular silicon plant
Project information: The project with an annual output of 100,000 tons of granular silicon invested by Inner Mongolia Xinyuan Silicon Material Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the northeast side of Baotou Steel tailings pond in Baotou metal deep processing Park, covering an area of about 1495 mu.
Investment scale: The total investment of Xinyuan granular silicon project is 30 billion yuan, divided into three phases, of which the total investment of the first phase project is 10 billion yuan, mainly to build an annual output of 100,000 tons of granular silicon production equipment and supporting construction of 150,000 tons of nano silicon equipment, public works and auxiliary production facilities, etc., construction period from August 2021 to August 2022. In that year, the planned investment of 2.477 billion yuan was for enterprise investment projects.
Product advancement: The project adopts GCL's unique FBR production technology, with a carbon footprint of 20.74 kg CO2 equivalent per unit product. After the project is put into operation, the power consumption is reduced by 70%, the hydrogen consumption is reduced by 55%, the total cost is reduced by 30%, the annual comprehensive energy consumption is 746,000 tons of standard coal, and the energy consumption per unit product is 3.86 tons of standard coal, which is superior to the advanced value of the industry and is at the top level of the industry.
